Congrats to Chamber Member and Board Director, Mary Sudyka! At South Hadley’s May Town Meeting last week, Mary was announced as South Hadley’s Citizen of the Year. Mary is owner of Family Cuts in South Hadley and a very active member of our local communities. As a volunteer on several boards and as a fund-raising organizer, Mary has had a significant and beneficial impact on many families, children, other individuals and organizations. We are proud of Mary’s accomplishments, hard work and positive spirit. Mary’s civic mindedness and success in business represents what our Chamber is all about: creating opportunity for community and commerce. The next time you see Mary (and you will at some point!) please encourage her efforts and extend our congratulations to her.

Did You Miss the Breakfast?
You can watch Dale Johnston speak about the deliberations that went into the recent CPAC Economic Development Plan:
Dale did an excellent job of going through the details of choices and possible effects on our current and future business plans. You can go to the Town of South Hadley website, linked on our Home page, if you want to read through the whole CPAC document.
Update on Economic Development Plan at Breakfast
Dale Johnston, a member of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC), will give a progress report at Adelfia’s on Tuesday, March 16, at 7:45 am on the economic development portion of the comprehensive plan.
CPAC and a master plan consultant have worked for approximately two years to develop the draft plan that will be presented to the Planning Board and ultimately to Town Meeting. As a plan in progress, there will be a public hearing in the summer for additional input from members of the community. This will be an excellent opportunity to hear some outcomes of the intensive study that may impact our community and your business in the future.
